Scope of this Standard

This national standard specifies inspection requirements for pre-owned passenger vehicles offered for sale in Trinidad and Tobago. It provides for the general, safety and environmental requirements of vehicles capable of seating a maximum of nine persons. These requirements do not apply to vehicles classified as racing, specialty or classic type vehicles.
